San Saba is home to three city parks, as beautiful as they are diverse.
The first is Mill Pond Park, a well-manicured site featuring a duck pond, waterfalls, foot bridges, recreational courts for sand volleyball and basketball, and a gazebo for picnics and family gatherings. The park is also home to baseball parks and an “all weather” track facility. The San Saba Civic Center, an all-occasion venue, and the San Saba County Museum, are also housed within the park.
The second, Risien Park, features a more natural presentation of the hill country landscaping. This park also houses a pavilion which can be used for special occasions. Its picnic area is located on the scenic banks of the San Saba River, offering beautiful vistas of pristine waters and ancient pecans.
The third is the San Saba River Nature Park which is a serene getaway that features the city’s first waterworks, a birding blind, and a beautiful greenbelt perfect for walking, biking, and fishing. It is the latest jewel in San Saba’s chain of beautiful parks offering more than 122 acres for your family’s enjoyment.
